Adeptus Custodes THE DREAD HOST

The Dread Host (Instrument of the Emperor’s Wrath) Main purpose is to delivers the emperor’s divine wrath on the most dramatic threats to the Segmentum Solar System, numbering in the hundreds and organized into multiple shield hosts and transported aboard the trio of Moiraides warships, they will not stop until their foes are annihilated. In their history of service, the dread Host have faced foes that vastly outnumber them, but by using their superior strategy, speed and strength they have smashed xeno Invasions, obliterated rebellious worlds and crushed traitor crusades. With every campaign, the host spreads the terror of the emperor’s wrath and the breathtaking bloodshed and absolute destruction.

MOIRAIDES are a trio of vessels of the Adeptus Custodes Dread Host. These vessels date back to before the Horus Heresy and usually, only a single ship is sent against a target. Sometimes two and only a handful of times in the Imperium history, have all three have been unleashed against a single foe.

Shield-Host consists of multiple Sodalities (Shield-companies) to undertake a specific task and is led by a Captain-Commander as well as a counsel of Vexilus Praetors.

Shield-Company (Sodalities) consist of 95 custodes led by a senior Shield-Captain and typically consisting a few squads of the following.

Custodian Guard-the main heavy infantry strength of the Hykanatoi caste

Vexilus praetor-standard bearers

Vertus Praetor (Agamatus jetbikes)-fast attack and reconnaissance

Allarus Terminator-elite shock troops, siege units and counter-attackers of the Tharanatoi caste

Venetari-fast attack infantry using jump pack

Sagittarum Guard-a sub-unit of the Tharanatoi caste, primary role was slaying enemies from a distance using devastating heavy firepower  

Imperatus Auxila- supporting assets attached such as war engines, dreadnoughts, non-combatant field agents.

Moritoi- the smallest caste of those interred within dreadnoughts
